About the App
The Cardless Catalog is being designed for people who want a practical, searchable record of the books they own. It brings the familiar structure of a physical card catalog to a modern personal library, with tools for finding a book, tracking its shelf location, and maintaining useful collection details.
Planned Features
- Search and browse by title, author, genre, room, shelf location, and series.
- Add books manually or from selected camera and photo-library images.
- Track reading status, condition, rare or collectible status, and notes.
- Organize bookcases, shelves, series, editions, and intentional duplicate copies.
- Review possible duplicate records before merging or keeping them.
- Use optional AI-assisted book identification and appraisal features.
- Securely sync a private catalog across supported devices.
- Export a portable copy of catalog data.
AI-Assisted Features
Planned AI features may help identify books from selected images, enrich bibliographic details, and prepare informational rare-book appraisals. AI-generated results can be incomplete or incorrect and should always be reviewed. Appraisals are estimates for informational purposes, not professional financial, insurance, tax, or legal advice.
Privacy Preview
The planned app uses an account to protect and synchronize private catalog data. Images selected for scanning or appraisal may be uploaded and processed by service providers only to perform the requested feature. Pixel Pug Labs does not plan to sell catalog data or use it for advertising.
